Staton Rabin is an experienced screenwriter, script analyst, and YA novelist with Simon & Schuster. Known for adapting IP, biographies, and true stories into compelling scripts, her work attracts A-list actors. She has written a feature script for Afterglow Pictures & Two Jacks Productions, a TV pilot, "Instruments of Night", and is on ISA's "Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2023" list. Her upcoming project is "Black Ranger", a TV series adaptation of Tim Ashby's novel, RANGER. Her spec script "Saving Mark Twain" is a 2023 PAGE Awards finalist and is on Coverfly's Red List along with her TV pilot script "Betsy and the Emperor". Her mystery/comedy script was recognized by Ink & Cinema's The Crime List and Sleepy Hollow Film Festival Screenwriting Contest. Her screenplay for BETSY AND THE EMPEROR has earned multiple accolades, including at the Montreal Independent Film Festival and Festival Napoleon in Paris. Trusted by producers, she brings expertise in story structure to all her projects, and with her background as a story analyst for major film studios, she demonstrates proficiency in every assignment. Rabin’s work often combines unusual true stories with heart and comedy, resulting in warm and inspiring movies. Her novel, THE CURSE OF THE ROMANOVS, was a finalist in the ScreenCraft Cinematic Book Competition. She holds a BFA in Film from NYU and is a member of New York Women in Film & Television.
