Rachel Sophia Stewart is a documentary editor based in Philadelphia. She has 10 years of experience as senior editor on the ABC TV series Philadelphia: The Great Experiment, and has won seven Mid-Atlantic Emmys, including two for best editing and best documentary for her feature Sisters In Freedom. Her work has been broadcast nationally on PBS Great Performances and internationally in Argentina, Mexico and China. This year, Rachel edited two episodes of a documentary series for Amazon, and ran post production on a feature titled Man on the Run. Her current projects include Ten Times Better, a 30-minute documentary about an 88 year old blackjack dealer in Las Vegas, and Still Standing: The Barns of J.T. Wells, a feature about historic barn preservation set to premiere in 2024 on PBS. Rachel also teaches post production and editing at Temple University, and runs 8 by 8 Post Production, a company she founded to put her post production and management skills into practice.
