With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, she creates nuanced and authentic storytelling about the Latin American diaspora. Born in Miami to Cuban and Ecuadorian parents, Michelle graduated from Columbia University with a film studies degree. Her directorial debut, "Piel Canela/Cinnamon Skin," won several awards at festivals worldwide before her feature "Woman of the House" premiered in 2021. Michelle aims to empower future filmmakers by creating compelling character-driven work.
