Born in Detroit, Michigan, Marlon began making films at age. A graduate of Morgan State University, he directed 8mm video shorts that won awards. He attended New York Film Academy's Four Week Intensive Workshop and made four 16mm silent short films.
One film, "The Last Condom," was showcased at the San Francisco Black Film Festival, Planet Ant Film Series, and won a People's Choice Award. His short "NIGHT" addressed HIV in the black community and appeared in multiple festivals.
Marlon co-wrote a documentary with Kristian Hill in 2014, which played at the Cannes Film Festival and Pan African Film Festival. He is an alum of the Guy Hanks Screenwriting Program and Sundance Collab's educational programs. He is also part of the Blackmagic Collective's Filmmaker's Initiative class.
Marlon is currently editing his latest short film, REPEAT.
