Luísa is a Latinx screenwriter from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, living in Los Angeles. She graduated law school and pursued a career in film and TV, earning her MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU/Tisch in 2012.

Luísa has worked with Amazon Studios Originals, providing script feedback to showrunners and creators, and consulting on the critically acclaimed series "September Mornings." She has also written and directed short films, including "Learning to Ride," which won Best Screenplay at the São Paulo Film Festival. Her feature film debut, "Before I Forget," premiered in 2018 and received awards at international festivals.

Luísa's other notable works include the screenplay "Michaela" (winner of an Award of Merit from the Women's Independent Film Festival) and the upcoming feature film "Buena Vida."
