Laura Sydell is a product of New Jersey, the most diverse state in the union. She has worked as NPR's Digital Culture Correspondent and contributor to "This American Life" and "Planet Money," but shifted focus to TV after becoming fascinated with its explosion of creativity. Currently, she works on various projects including a historical drama, sci-fi series, and one-woman show. Her curiosity has led her to interview notable figures such as Jodie Foster, Sergey Brin, and Al Sharpton. She previously lived in New York City and worked for WNYC, covering the city's diverse communities. Sydell holds a JD from Yeshiva University's Cardozo School of Law and a BA with honors in Theater and Russian History from William Smith College.
