Efuru is the founder of Flourishing Films, a Los Angeles-based production and international film & television distribution company. Founded in 2016, the company has distributed titles that screened at festivals including Sundance, Berlin, Tribeca, Cannes, Hot Docs, and Toronto.

Flowers began her career working for John Singleton at New Deal Productions, igniting her passion for film as an art form and vehicle for change. She recognized a gap in market representation for BIPOC and underrepresented communities while working at Paramount Pictures.

Flowers is an alumna of the Producers Guild of America’s The Power of Diversity program, Sundance Film Festival, Sundance Institute’s Financing Intensive, and Berlinale Talents. She attended UCLA, earning a degree in Sociology, and is a member of Women In Film.

She is a founding member and co-chair of Black Women Rally For Action – Los Angeles, a community organization dedicated to advancing health, economic, and social equity for LA County Black women.
