Ben Weiss is a New York-based writer who holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch and a Bachelor's degree in theatre from Northwestern University, summa cum laude. His screenplay Safe Havens placed among the top 50 screenplays for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship. He was a finalist for the Humanitas David and Lynn Angells Comedy Fellowship and had his dramatic features Thick Skin and Safe Havens shortlisted for the Carol Mendelsohn Drama Fellowship. Weiss writes sketches for Puppet Regime, a political sketch comedy series that airs on PBS.
