Ally Fiola, a Nova Scotian saxophonist, film composer, and bandleader of The Next Quest, released her jazz album Interblaze featuring Jeff Coffin (3x Grammy winner), Glenn Patscha (Grammy winner), Shvan Kaban, and other Nova Scotian musicians. In 2019, Ally was at the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity, and in 2019-2020, she pursued a Masters in Film Composition in London, UK, performing at the Pheasantry Jazz Club. In April 2023, Ally attended the La Napoule Canadian Artist Residency in France to compose an orchestral piece funded by the Canada Council, exploring the effects of climate change on coastal communities.
