Alicia Herder is a writer-director, independent producer, and podcaster. Born in the Midwest, she channels her experiences of addiction, poverty, and familial discord into films addressing these issues.

Her short films "Good Girl" and "Diego on my Mind" have been successful at regional film festivals, earning awards including the James Bridges Production Award and an Army Archerd Award. "Diego on my Mind" is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

Alicia holds an M.F.A. in Film Directing from UCLA and has received awards for her directing work, including a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Finalist award in 2014. She produced Patricia Vidal Delgado's film "La Leyenda Negra," which was nominated for several awards in 2020.

Alicia also hosts the comedy podcast WITCH, YES!, streaming in 58 countries. Her goal is to uplift women's voices and create more complex stories that initiate change.
