Alex Freund started writing comedy in seventh grade after being asked if he was gay and having to create a joke to deflect. Jillian Moreno began writing at a young age, impressing her parents but also causing mental health concerns. They teamed up and are now both openly gay and on antidepressants. Alex and Jillian wrote for seasons 2 and 3 of Hulu’s Love, Victor, with coworkers describing them as "talented" and "generous with laughs."
